Hi, I'm Hanna
happy, easy going, honest and hard working. I love fashion, interiors, art and the theatre ...and coffee. I really like coffee!
Why weddings?
Knowing what an enormous impact a well executed makeover plays in ‘pulling together’ a bride’s complete wedding day look I wanted to use my media skills and experience and share them with ‘real women’ in my local area.
Having worked with TV presenters, actors and models I completely understand the need for a bride to be professionally made up, she will be photographed more on this day than any other in her life, so her make up must ‘read’ well both on film and to the naked eye, in addition to lasting the day through.
However, its not all about the end product, brides need the reassurance of feeling at ease on the morning and knowing they are in expert hands. I work confidently and efficiently to ensure everyone’s looks come together in a relaxed, enjoyable way and on time!
Clients often remark how calm I am!
I’ll never tire of hearing all the details, plus I get to soak up that happy ‘pre-wedding’ buzz every time I do my job, so what’s not to love?!
Please get in touch if you think my style aligns with you and your wedding or event vision.
I’d love to hear from you……
Career
My passion for hair began as a stylist, I had five fun years in the salon before qualifying as a wig maker and following my love of musical theatre into West End productions. I trained under some of the industry’s best make up artists and that kickstarted the most fascinating journey as a media hair and make up artist. I’ve had the pleasure of working with actors, celebrities and models on a variety of exciting projects from editorial and advertising shoots to music, theatre, film & television – from London fashion week to stunning film locations (see my CV).
These days you can find me in beautiful wedding venues, backstage in TV make up rooms, or unleashing my creativity in my home art studio!
It’s a wild ride and I love every bit of it!
Family
I was inspired to add bridal beauty to my repertoire when my children came along in the 2000’s, since the long hours spent filming were far from family friendly! I soon discovered how rewarding it is to work with ‘real women’. This led me to grow my bridal business, empowering brides to feel their best, most confident selves. Now that my girls are all grown up I have the flexibility to work as I please. I enjoy returning to set for the occasional shoot or TV job, which keeps me connected to a wonderful network of like-minded colleagues and weddings continue to bring me enormous satisfaction. In my downtime I love to dive into my latest passion project – abstract painting. And somewhere in between all of this you’ll find me sipping coffee or taking walks with our Pugs in the beautiful Surrey countryside.
